El Pisco “City in Peru”
This drum was designed to be authentic to the drums heard and used in Pisco, Peru, the birthplace of the Cajon.
The drum’s traditional sound can be characterized by a wide volume range and an authentic slap/pop sound.
The drum is constructed out of 1/2″ hand-picked 11-layer Baltic birch with a 1/4″ hand picked Baltic birch playing surface. To create strength and tonal quality, the wood is assembled using a high strength wood glue. Seven screws are added to the top of the playing surface to create a truly authentic sound and allow for slight tonal adjustments on the part of the player.
Each drum is hand sanded and coated with a polycrylic protective finish that will protect your drum for years.
