Using Handchimes is intended for use by general music teachers, music therapists, and church music directors. Though the way in which chimes are used will vary in each of these settings, the basic information needed to successfully use handchimes is the same for all. This instructional book is divided into four sections.
Susan Berry and Janet Van Valey are highly qualified church musicians and educators who have pioneered techniques for teaching handbells and handchimes. Each continues to conduct handbell festivals and to teach training/technique clinics throughout the country, as well as organize and direct repertoire reading sessions for various publishers and music distributors.
